SERVICES
As your MLA, I’m here alongside my constituency office team to support you and connect you with provincial government services.
Whether you have a question, need guidance, or are facing challenges with a provincial program, we are here to listen and do our best to help.
How We Can Help
Point you in the right direction for provincial programs and services.
Check that your concern is being addressed fairly.
Assist with concerns involving provincial ministries or agencies.
As well, we can:
Help you understand government policies and how they apply to you.
Celebrate with you by arranging congratulatory messages or certificates.
Provide printed government forms or documents if you don’t have internet access.
We are here to serve residents of the Chilliwack-Cultus Lake constituency (If you are not in Chilliwack-Cultus Lake, find your MLA here).
What We Cannot Do
Some matters are outside of our scope – but we’ll try to guide you to the right place if that happens.
We can’t:
- Give legal advice or represent you in legal matters.
- Get involved in police investigations or court cases.
- Overturn decisions made by independent provincial offices (e.g., the Ombudsperson).
- Change legal deadlines or appeal timelines.
- Take on issues that are federal or municipal in nature.
- Resolve disputes between neighbours or businesses.
- Find housing or employment for constituents.
If you’re unsure whether we can help, please reach out anyway – we’re always happy to listen and point you in the right direction.

Frequently Asked Questions
How can I request assistance?
Please contact us HERE. You can either use the contact form or you can call our office during our office hours.
Do I need an appointment to speak with my MLA?
While some concerns can be addressed over the phone or by email, in-person meetings require an appointment. Contact the constituency office to schedule a time.
Can my MLA change provincial laws?
MLAs participate in debates, vote on legislation, and can introduce private members’ bills. However, passing a law requires majority support in the Legislature, so it’s a collaborative process.
Does my MLA attend local events?
Yes! MLA Á’a:líya Warbus often attends community events, celebrations, and public meetings to stay connected with local residents. If you’d like to invite her to an event, please contact the office.
Is there a cost to using MLA services?
No. Assistance provided by your MLA’s office is free for all constituents in the Chilliwack-Cultus Lake area.
How is my MLA different from my Member of Parliament (MP) or City Councillor?
Your MLA represents you at the provincial level of government in B.C. Legislature. Your MP handles federal matters (such as immigration, passports, and federal taxes), while your City Councillor or Mayor addresses municipal issues (such as local roads, zoning, and community planning).
